Opening Gates Across Montana
Our Goal
The goal of Wild & Able is to expand access to meaningful outdoor recreation—particularly hunting and fishing—for individuals with physical disabilities across Montana.
We aim to eliminate the barriers that limit participation by:
Partnering with private landowners to open safe, supportive access to quality hunting land,
Providing full support and logistics—gear, transportation, guiding, and harvest processing,
And creating empowering, inclusive experiences that allow every participant to pursue the outdoors with confidence, dignity, and independence.
Because we believe the wild belongs to everyone—and everyone deserves the chance to experience it.

Our Mission
Wild & Able exists to provide enhanced outdoor recreation opportunities—such as hunting and fishing—for individuals with physical disabilities.
Through partnerships with private landowners and a commitment to full-circle support, we make it possible for our participants to experience the freedom, challenge, and joy of the wild—on equal footing.

Our Story
At Wild & Able, everything we do starts with family and a deep connection to the outdoors.
Hunting, fishing, and exploring the wild have always been core to who we are. But when my youngest brother—born with Cerebral Palsy—wanted to participate in those same outdoor traditions, we were quickly faced with a harsh reality: access isn’t equal.
Public land in Montana is vast, but it's often rugged, overcrowded, and difficult to navigate—especially during hunting season. The rising competition for access makes it challenging for any hunter. For someone with a physical disability, it can be nearly impossible.
Through the support of a few gracious private landowners, we helped my brother experience something truly powerful: a successful hunt in a space where he felt safe, confident, and included. That moment changed everything. It gave him more than just a harvest—it gave him dignity, independence, and belonging.
We knew then that if we could make this happen for him, we could do it for others, too.
That’s how Wild & Able was born. Today, we create fully supported outdoor experiences—covering everything from gear and transportation to guiding and processing—for individuals with physical disabilities across Montana. We build partnerships with landowners who want to make a difference, and with donors who believe that the outdoors should be for everyone.
Because access to the wild shouldn’t be a privilege—it should be possible.

We strive to remove every barrier so participants can focus on what really matters: the experience, the connection, and the joy of being in the wild.
The “Show Up and Hunt” Experience
At Wild & Able, we believe everyone deserves the chance to focus on the thrill of the hunt—not the barriers that usually come with it.
That’s why we’ve created the “Show Up and Hunt” experience—a fully supported, all-inclusive hunting adventure for individuals with physical disabilities.
